F.A.Q
Do you edit the photos?
All photos are edited in some capacity. Acne and other temporary marks are removed, and there is color grading / adjustments made to each image before being sent.
Can I get the RAWs?
No. I do not send RAW images.
Can I request changes once I’ve received the photos?
If there are any problems with your photos, it is important to contact me immediately! I am more than happy to try and make any accommodations that I can
What happens if the weather is bad?
Weather is tricky! Typically I like to wait as late as possible before rescheduling a date, because the weather can change from hour to hour. That being said, in the case of rain, your shoot can and will be rescheduled. Cloudy days do not count as bad weather, and booking photoshoots at places like the beach come with the understanding that they may be gray days instead of sunny.
Can I bring a friend for support?
Absolutely! Supportive friends are more than welcome to come along on the adventure!
Do you travel?
Yes! I travel all over, for fun and for photoshoots. I announce where I am going on Social Media, which is a great time to book to avoid travel fees.
What are your travel fees?
Travel fees take effect once you book a session that is greater than 75 miles from Sonoma County. They are typically calculated based on gas cost + time needed to destination, and are therefore not standardized.
No travel fees are typically incurred for weddings or extended sessions, depending on other factors.
General Policies
Tardiness / Late Policy
IF YOU ARE MORE THAN 15 MINUTES LATE WITH NO COMMUNICATION, I WILL LEAVE AND YOU WILL FORFEIT YOUR DEPOSIT.
The best practice for photoshoots is to see how the drive / traffic looks to your location ahead of time, and be 5-10 minutes early, as often, photoshoots are dependent on the light from the sun. Being late will eat into the time of your session. Communication is key. Let me know if you think you will be delayed.
Cancellation
Cancellation on your part will result in forfeiting your deposit. Rescheduling can be done up to 7 days ahead of time, barring emergency.
Cancellation on my part will result in full refund or the opportunity to reschedule.
Party Participation
It is expected that everyone involved in the photoshoot will be positive and cooperative. Brian Davis Photography will not be held responsible for failure to capture desired photographs due to refusal to cooperate on the part of the individual (or individuals) involved in a photoshoot. This includes pets and children.
If a third party NOT on camera is causing a disruption to the photoshoot or comfort of the subject, Brian Davis Photography reserves the right to request them to leave. Failure to cooperate can result in forfeiture of deposit and an immediate end to the session.
